Before you proceed, you should be aware that reporting a crime via telephone or online is designed to make filing a police report easier and more convenient. However, it is a crime to make false statements or misuse electronic communication. Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please note that although your report is submitted via the KPD's online reporting system, an officer will still call you and confirm the information you provided. All online reported cases/incidents are handled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (excluding most holidays). Report requests that are submitted outside of our operational hours will be handled the next business day in the order in which they were received. If you need immediate assistance, please call 911. *If your case needs immediate attention please call 361-592-4311 or 911 for life and death emergencies.
